Looking at the relationship between Wang Yangming and the Xiangshan Mountain from “Theory of Pulling the Origins”

Abstract:This article relies on Mencius’s related thoughts and takes “The Discussion on Pulling the Origin and Blocking the Source” as the starting point. It has advanced from the literature and conducted a comparative study of Luxiangshan and Wang Yangming. The pen discusses Wang Yangming’s inheritance and development of the thoughts of the Xiangshan Mountain from the two aspects of the conceit of one’s heart, separated from the cover of material desires and the poisonous and vicious heart of utilitarianism. The lunar XiangBaosheng’s feelings Shan and Wang Yangming were both inheritors of Mencius’ faithfulness. “Theory of the Origin of the Body” has an amazing inheritance with articles such as “With Uncle Shao” in Yuexiangshan. Wang Yangming’s “Theory of Pulling the Origin” is deeply inspired by the Liuxiang Mountain. It is the expansion, structure and development of the thinking point, angle, thought, and structure of the Liuxiang Mountain.

Dong developed the idea that it came from Shangcai, and I also came from Xinbo. This kind of thing was already available in Chengmen.” [1] Master Mu, the chief teacher of the Momo, pointed out: “(Wang) Master Su was the descendant of the Yang period. At that time, he was most likely to be able to do it. Only those who later became famous by the Master Su. Wang Shouren, the later Confucian Confucian, praised it.” [2] Huang ZongBaohao.comXi also said in “The Confucian School of Ming Confucianism” that Wang Yangming’s academic question “is not inconsistent with Zhu Zi’s words, but the one who expresses the most force is in the mountains of Xiangshan”[3]. It is obvious that from Chengmen, Xie Shangcai and Wang Xinbo, to Xiangshan, it has become the “study of Xiangshan”, and Wang Yangming is the most important inheritor in this chain. After realizing the truth at the dragon field, Wang Yangming was a land rather than a red man, and he integrated the Taoist Confucianism, extracted the essence and marrow, and became a great view, and he had his own self. From Huang Zongxi and Quan Zu, seeing that Mo Mu defined their mentality as “the study of King of the World”, it has become a decisive discussion. However, in order to raise Wang Yangming in China, there are various discussions about the low-level Xiangshan Mountain in China. Some people also say that Wang Yangming and Yuan Xiangshan Mountain.Nothing to do with it. This article tries to settle in “The Discussion on Pulling the Origin and Blocking the Source”, and summarizes Wang Yangming’s thoughts with Liu Xiangshan, grasps the text, buys blood circulation, examines the origin and flow of the lens, and explores the principles of the mind from Liu Xiangshan to Wang Yangming, so as to teach colleagues in the academic world.
1. The article “Theory of Pulling the Origin and Blocking the Source” is one of Wang Yangming’s most important and meditative masterpieces. Although his article is not a long and large-scale discussion, it is written in a magnificent and vivid way, deep and profound. After careful consideration, the author thought that his writing was rooted in Mencius’s nature and his history through the history of Zhujing’s theory, and was insidiously connected to the mountain of Xiang. Wang Yangming said: “I want to take the blame from the whole country and think that Xiangshan is violent. Even if I blame this, I will not hate it.” [4] In the two letters in “Answer Xu Chengzhi”, Wang Yangming gave deep sympathy for Liu Xiangshan’s thoughts.
Wang Yangming’s “Answer the Origin and the Source” is included in the “Answer the Book of the East Bridge”. Wang Yangming’s own question is “Answer the Origin and the Source”, and the author has this right and the question is “Answer the Origin and the Source”. “Unplugging the source” is the original meaning of “I have my own selfishness” to cover up the hearts of my confidant. This question is discussed by the teachings, and Yichuan also discusses it, but it is not as deep and broad as Yangming, and there are also differences in the angles of Yangming discussing the problem. The word “pull the root and block the source” comes from “Zuo Yu·Zhao Gong’s Ninth Year”. [5] Chen Rongjie’s notes are: “pull the root of wood and fill the source of water.” [6] It is to solve people’s spiritual problems, concealer’s concealment problems, and social material desires from the most basic aspects. The hearts of the people in the whole country are not at first different from saints. They are especially selfish and concealed from material desires. The big ones are small, and the ones are open to block. Everyone has their own hearts, and even those who regard their father, son and brother as enemies. [7]
Wang Yangming means that at the beginning of a person’s “heart”, it was originally a innocent heart, and it was no different from that of a sage. However, because of “separating from material desires”, the external attractions and expansion of selfish desires conceal the purity of people’s hearts. As the path of profit desires gets deeper and deeper, the confidant gradually becomes lost. Therefore, “the big ones are small, and the big ones are blocked”, so people become “small” and “blocked”, which means that material desires are flowing and profit-oriented. A person’s heart is suffocated by the seven emotions and six desires, and cannot withstand the external confusion and is “lost in the soul”. Sometimes, “everyone has his own will, and there are people who regard their father, son and brother as enemies.” Due to the envoy of material desires, even father, son and brother have become enemies. He is very rude, behaves well, forgets his meaning when he sees profit, and is unpredictable, and he is no longer like humans.
It should be noted that Wang Yangming’s expression uses all the languages used by Mencius. The “small” and “block” in “big people are small, and those who are open to block” come from “Mencius”:
The son of Gongdu asked, “The jing is a man, or a gentleman, why is it?” Mencius said, “From his body to be a big man, from his small body to be a gentleman.” He said, “The jing is a man, or from his large body to his small body, why is it?” He said, “The official of a man does not think about it, but blocks things. Things intersect with things, and it is imprisoned. The official thoughts of the heart; if you get it, you will not get it. If you don’t think about it, you will not get it. This is the one who first establishes itself in the big way, but the small way cannot be slaughtered. This is the slaughter of the big way.” (Mencius, Gaozi 1)
The way of Yang Mo is endless, and Confucius’s way is not attached. This is a evil saying that is easy to approach and is full of benevolence. The kindness is filled with the suffocation, and the animals are suffocating, and the people will eat each other. (Mencius, Teng Wengong 2)
When you look at these two passages from Mencius, you can clearly understand that Wang Yangming’s thinking basics and verbal conditions come from Mencius. However, in the history of Chinese philosophy, the masters are obvious to all. They truly devote themselves to Mencius and respect Mencius themselves, and use it as a standard list. The people who inherit, follow and create are the people who are in charge of the inheritance, pursuit and creation.
The difference between my learning and discussion is nothing to me. Although I have said thousands of words, I just think that he has never added anything to me. Recently, someone who argues with me said, “Except for the sentence ‘The one who is big first’, there is no trick.” I said, “It’s true.” [8]
